(October 29, 2025) – As overdose deaths continue to claim young lives across the country, the nonprofit HarborPath has launched an awareness campaign at the University of Oklahoma that combines access to free naloxone with student-athlete influence. Naloxone, often known by the brand name Narcan, can quickly reverse the effects of an opioid overdose, giving bystanders a crucial opportunity to save a life.

At HarborPath, we believe that education and naloxone access are two of the most powerful tools we have to combat the opioid crisis and save lives. Our HarborPath On Campus program was built on this belief - helping universities establish effective naloxone distribution systems while educating students about the hidden dangers of fentanyl. We’ve already seen the impact this approach can have through our partnership with Ole Miss, where the program was embraced by both campus leaders and students. That success has sparked meaningful conversations with other schools and states who recognize the urgent need for proactive solutions on their campuses.

CHARLOTTE (July 1, 2025) – HarborPath, a national nonprofit dedicated to providing life-saving specialty medications to underinsured and vulnerable populations, has announced the formation of a new advisory board composed of eight distinguished leaders from across the United States. The board includes experts in public policy, medicine, pharmaceutical distribution and advocacy - many of whom have been personally impacted by the overdose crisis.

As many state legislatures adjourn for the year, HarborPath is now shifting our focus from advocacy to action, working hand-in-hand with partners across the country to get naloxone and overdose rescue boxes where they're needed most.

I recently wrapped up an inspiring few days in Nashville at the Rx and Illicit Drug Summit. Each year I leave more motivated than the last. It was a privilege to reconnect with so many leaders dedicated to reversing the overdose crisis, including Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman, who has been a strong voice for smart, life-saving policies.
