HarborPath Appoints Dr. Corey Booker to it's Board of Directors
Charlotte, NC --- August 3, 2018 - HarborPath, a non-profit corporation dedicated to assisting low-income, uninsured individuals living with HIV/AIDS, hepatitis C and other chronic conditions gain access to their entire regimen of medications, has appointed Dr. Corey Booker to its Board of Directors.
Dr. Booker is maternal-fetal medicine specialist at Duke University Hospital and Founder/CEO of OnPulse, a service that improves patient health through advocacy, care coordination, communication and increased patient health literacy.
“We are honored to have Corey join the board of HarborPath. Dr. Booker’s experience as a combined physician and CEO of a private company, will play a critical role as HarborPath continues to expand in meeting the needs of the uninsured” said Ken Trogdon, President of HarborPath.
Dr. Booker was raised in Annapolis Maryland, he attended Medical School at Creighton University where he served as a Washington Health Policy Fellow at the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). He completed his residency at Penn State Milton S Hershey Medical School and went on to complete a fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at UNC. While in fellowship, he received a master’s degree in Clinical informatics from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
Dr. Booker said, “Through my patients, I have experienced the problem HarborPath is solving. The organization is making a positive impact on patient’s lives, while creating a sustainable service.
