Johnson & Johnson Patient Assistance Foundation, Inc. Joins HarborPath to Help Uninsured Individuals with HIV/AIDS Access Prescription Medicines

Columbia, SC – September 28, 2015, HarborPath, an organization dedicated to assisting patients gain access to their entire regimen of HIV/AIDS medications through patient assistance programs, welcomes Johnson & Johnson Patient Assistance Foundation, Inc. as a participating company in support of the HarborPath portal, which provides a single point of access to those medications The Johnson & Johnson Patient Assistance Foundation, Inc., which is donating HIV/AIDS medications and providing program funding, is the most recent company to join HarborPath since its formation in July, 2012.
“Missing doses or not filling prescriptions for treatment may lead to serious health consequences. By providing access to free medicines through the HarborPath online portal program, we can help meet a critical need, greatly improving medication adherence.” said Ken Trogdon, Jr., President of HarborPath.
HarborPath also administers the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) Waiting List Program. Medications donated by AbbVie, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Gilead, Johnson & Johnson Patient Assistance Foundation, Inc., Merck and ViiV Healthcare are dispensed to individuals who are on their state’s ADAP Waiting Lists through the HarborPath mail-order pharmacy.
The Johnson & Johnson Patient Assistance Foundation, Inc. (JJPAF) helps patients without adequate financial resources and insurance coverage access free prescription products they need to manage their illness and improve health outcomes. “We are pleased to partner with HarborPath through their on-line portal which provides a streamlined, online process to enable qualified patients obtain their full regimen of brand-name HIV medications.
